Additionally, the huge number of fruit varieties grown ripe here (178 total varieties as of January 2010) provides our many visitors with U-Pick opportunities (Pick-your-own fruit,) hayride tours of the farm, and many other on-the-farm family experiences. Shop our indoor, air-conditioned Farm Direct Markets for ripe, home grown fruits and veggies, charming jams and jellies, canned goods, tender beef jerky, dried fruits and nuts, and much more. With beautiful color-coordinated interior decor, our stores are designed to be a pleasure to shop while you enjoy free samples of most of the items we offer. Murray Family Farms has two scenic locations: our "Big Red Barn" Farm Direct Market, located about 18 miles East of Bakersfield on Highway 58 at General Beale Road, and; our "Old-Tomato-Weigh-Station" Farm Direct Market, located about 16 miles South of Bakersfield on Highway 5 at Copus Road.

Seasonal fresh fruits and veggies are available in sequence year-round due to the 178 varieties we grow right here on the farm. Tree fruit, such as peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots, apples, pluots, and many others are picked daily while in season and placed directly from the trees to our store displays.
